D A Y – T H I R T E E N

It snowed!! Woke up to a white wonderland. Perfect for a wintry walk.

  • Slice of toast
  • Tomato
  • Avocado
  • Poached egg

Sticking to the liquid lunch theme. Also had a locally produced sausage roll. Pub of choice was the Plough Inn – ‘Set deep in the Surrey Hills, an area of outstanding natural beauty, The Plough Inn is a traditional country pub at the heart of its local community’

Consisted of half a hot cross bun with jam.

This was provided in the Wotton Hatch – ‘Overlooking the rolling countryside of the surrey hills we are the perfect place to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life’.

  • Steak, ale, button mushroom pie
  • Mashed potato
  • Veg

Outstanding meal! I would never normally go for a pie but the wording on the menu really enticed me (and mashed potato is in my top 5) but I’m glad I did as it was a real treat.

Had a lovely walk in the woodlands whilst it was snowing. Couldn’t have timed our weekend away any better as it really added to the charm and tranquility of the trip. I mean what is more comforting than sitting in front of a real open fire with a cuppa watching the snow falling outside?

Jam also made me do several steep incline uphill runs which absolutely killed me so can’t say I’m not getting my exercise in..
