Spirit of Britain

About to set sail back to the UK after an absolutely fantastic week travelling a portion of Europe.

Belgium was followed by Paris where, of course, we had to try out the top attractions.  Having arrived late afternoon we started with a night tour on an open top bus of the wonders of Paris.

Snap of the Arc de Triomphe.

It was amazing to get to see everything lit up and was a great opportunity to see Paris whilst giving our feet a well deserved breather.

I don’t think I’ve ever taken so many photos in my life compared to the past week.

Also visited the Louvre and saw the Mona Lisa – I have to admit I thought she would be bigger but it’s something to tick off the bucket list. Next stop was the Notre Dame which is absolutely stunning, went all out and climbed the 387 steps to the top to see Quasimodo’s gaff.

Of course a visit to the top of the Eiffel Tower had to be done – decided we were hard and could use the stairs instead of the lift, safe to say my thighs were burning by the time we’d got to the second floor (as high as you can go via stairs). Was well worth the hardship, looking out over the majority of Paris with a glass of champagne was priceless.

I have tonnes of pics and experiences to share but waiting for my personal photographer to transfer them from the GoPro so all in good time.

Overall a blimin brilliant time with my love experiencing some of the wonders of the world.
